ACH — Africa Community Hub

Community savings

Better infrastructure for the way communities save.

ACH is a digital platform for community savings, helping Ajo, Esusu, Thrift, ROSCAs and other savings groups bring greater structure, visibility and confidence to the way they save together.

Saving together isn't new

People have always saved together.

Ajo, Esusu, Thrift, ROSCAs, cooperative savings communities and other community savings structures already exist — and they already work. They run on relationships, agreements and trust that were in place long before any software.

The reality

The model works. Managing it can be harder than it should be.

What tends to be difficult isn't the saving. It's the record-keeping around it, spread across several places at once.
  • Notebooks
  • Spreadsheets
  • Chat threads
  • Payment records
  • Phone calls
  • Memory

The community isn't the problem. The tools around it need to catch up.

Meet ACH

A digital platform designed around community savings.

ACH — Africa Community Hub — is building infrastructure that helps community savings groups work better: greater structure, visibility, accountability and confidence around an arrangement that already belongs to the group.

ACH empowers coordinators

The coordinator keeps the group running. ACH is being built to support that role, not to replace it.

ACH supports members

Members are participants in a community, not transaction records inside a system.

What ACH is designed to bring

Structure. Visibility. Accountability. Confidence.

These are the qualities ACH is being built around — design intent, not a feature list.
  • Structure

A consistent place for the way a group already agrees to save, instead of records spread across several places.

  • Visibility

Designed so coordinators and members can see the same picture of where a savings cycle stands.

  • Accountability

Built to make what was agreed, and what has happened, easier to follow and easier to explain.

  • Confidence

When the record is clear, trust between people has less to carry on its own.

For coordinators

You hold the group together. That deserves better tools.

The coordinator isn't just managing contributions. They're managing trust.

  • Keeping the record, usually alone and usually in several places.
  • Answering who has contributed and whose turn comes next.
  • Keeping every member aligned on what was agreed.
  • Carrying the group's confidence, cycle after cycle.

ACH is being built as infrastructure around those responsibilities — so less of the group depends on one person's notes.

For members

You should be able to see where things stand.

Members bring the contributions and the consistency that make community savings work. ACH is designed so the picture of a savings cycle is shared, not held by one person.

Clarity

What was agreed — the amount, the frequency, the order.

Visibility

Where the group's cycle currently stands.

Participation

Taking part without chasing someone for answers.

Confidence

Understanding what is happening inside your group.

How ACH works

Built around an agreement that already exists.

ACH sits around the way a group has chosen to save. It does not decide the arrangement, and it does not process, automate or guarantee contributions or payouts.
  1. Step 1

    Community forms

People who trust each other decide to save together.

  2. Step 2

    Members agree a structure

The amount, the frequency and the order are agreed by the group.

  3. Step 3

    Contributions are organised

The arrangement gets one shared home instead of several.

  4. Step 4

    Participation becomes visible

Coordinator and members can look at the same picture.

  5. Step 5

    The agreed cycle continues

The rotation follows what the group decided, not the software.

  6. Step 6

    Consistency and trust build

A clearer record means trust carries less weight alone.

Community first

The community is not the product. The community is the reason for the product.

Community first. Technology second. The people are the reason; the technology is only the infrastructure around them. ACH is not here to replace how communities save, or the relationships that make it work.

The bigger vision

Building toward stronger financial communities.

ACH is being built toward a larger ecosystem for community savings. This is a direction, not a description of what exists today.

Today

A digital platform for community savings, being shaped with coordinators and members.

Building

Capabilities for structure, visibility and accountability, currently in development.

Vision

A wider ecosystem supporting stronger financial communities over time.

Trust, security & responsibility

We would rather be clear than impressive.

Trust in community savings is built between people. Our responsibility is to be straightforward about what ACH is, and what it isn't.
  • We say what we have built

We describe capabilities that exist. Work in progress is described as work in progress.

  • We are not a bank

ACH does not provide banking, lending or insurance, and does not hold or move members' money.

  • We handle information carefully

We ask only for information with a clear purpose, and we don't publish claims we can't stand behind.

People already save together. ACH is building better infrastructure around the way they do it.

Tell us about your group and we'll show you what's next. ACH is not yet open for onboarding — sharing your details starts a conversation, nothing more.
